<p><strong>Company Description</strong></p><p>The Twisted Fig is a unique al fresco culinary experience located in the renowned destination festival grounds of Beneath The Baobabs in Kilifi. </p><p><br></p><p><strong>Role Description</strong></p><p>This is a temporary on-site role for a Chef, located in Kilifi. The Chef will be responsible for preparing and cooking dishes using locally sourced ingredients, creating menus that cater to a variety of tastes, and ensuring the highest quality of food presentation. Additional daily tasks include maintaining cleanliness and safety standards in the kitchen, managing kitchen staff, and collaborating with the management to develop new dishes that fit our unique culinary theme.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>This role is temporary for the busy period in December From 20th December - 5th January</strong></p><p><br></p><p><strong>Qualifications</strong></p><ul><li>Culinary skills: Expertise in preparing seafood, meat, and vegetarian dishes, and knowledge of various cooking techniques</li><li>Menu development: Ability to create diverse and innovative menus that cater to different dietary preferences</li><li>Kitchen management: Experience in supervising kitchen staff, ensuring safety and cleanliness standards are met</li><li>Communication and teamwork: Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with the management and staff</li><li>Relevant credentials: Culinary degree or equivalent experience is preferred</li><li>Passion for food and creativity in developing new dishes</li></ul>
