<h2>About the Job</h2> <p>The County Public Service Board of Nyandarua is recruiting a competent and qualified candidate for the position of Chief Officer, Partnership, Diaspora & Resource Mobilization. The terms of employment are contractual, and remuneration will be guided by the Salaries and Remuneration Commission (SRC) from time to time.</p> <h2>Responsibilities</h2> <p>Oversee the smooth running of the Directorate of Partnership, Diaspora & Resource Mobilization.<br /> Build and maintain strong relationships with national governments, private sector organizations, multi-lateral and inter-governmental bodies, and financial institutions.<br /> Develop and implement strategic partnerships to achieve organizational objectives.<br /> Represent the organization at high-level meetings and events.<br /> Develop and implement comprehensive resource mobilization strategies to secure funding from diverse sources.<br /> Manage and report on key income streams, ensuring donor confidence.<br /> Monitor trends in development cooperation and aid, and adapt strategies accordingly.<br /> Prepare proposals and coordinate multidisciplinary teams for fundraising efforts.<br /> Explore and implement innovative funding models.<br /> Engage with diaspora communities, identifying opportunities for collaboration and resource mobilization.<br /> Develop strategies to leverage diaspora skills and resources to support organizational goals.<br /> Facilitate communication and collaboration between the organization and the diaspora.<br /> Lead and supervise a team of professionals in partnerships, resource mobilization, and diaspora affairs.<br /> Develop and implement strategic plans and budgets for partnerships and resource mobilization.<br /> Report to senior management on the progress and impact of partnerships and resource mobilization efforts.<br /> Ensure alignment between partnership and resource mobilization efforts with the organization’s overall strategic goals.<br /> Monitor donor policies and practices, and advise on recommended actions to influence them.<br /> Undertake special projects and technical tasks aligned with organizational goals.<br /> Develop and maintain a strong understanding of global development issues, trends, and best practices in the INGO sector.<br /> Ensure effective internal communications and collaboration.<br /> Possess experience with Donor funding mechanisms, knowledge of specific regional development dynamics, and understanding of global development issues and trends.</p> <h2>Requirements</h2> <p>Kenyan citizenship.<br /> A relevant Bachelor’s degree recognized in Kenya.<br /> A Master’s degree will be an added advantage.<br /> Be a strategic thinker and results-oriented.<br /> Be a member of a Professional Body in the discipline.<br /> Proven experience of at least ten (10) years of service from a reputable organization, with at least five (5) years in a senior management position.<br /> Computer literacy.<br /> Meet the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution of Kenya. </p> <p>Applications should be submitted to the County Public Service Board, P.O Box 38-20303, Ol’ Kalou, NYANDARUA.
