Your mission at Sistema.bio:

The credit officer will be responsible for receivables risk management within the assigned region by ensuring monthly collection target is achieved, PAR 90 of less than 10% is achieved and credit committees are done within set timelines.


Youโ€™ll be in charge of:

  • Ensuring the portfolio quality is achieved and maintained at the desired levels to minimize credit losses.
  • Ensuring prompt collection on all due and past due accounts.
  • Managing negative migration to worse loan bands and achieving monthly retention targets.
  • Collaborating with other departments to ensure the first 3 installments are fully paid on time.
  • Reviewing and analyzing all credit sales within the region and providing a credit decision within set timelines.


More about YOU:

  • You possess a Bachelor's degree in a business related course or Diploma in credit management.
  • You have a minimum of 2 years experience in traditional bottom-of -the-pyramid lending techniques, preferably in the microfinance sector.
  • You have a track record in customer relationship management (e.g. negotiation skills, problem solving and conflict resolution).
  • You are highly familiar with typical income, expenditure and cash flow patterns of rural and peri-urban households in Kenya.
  • You can collaborate with various teams.
  • You have excellent organizational skills to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines and prioritize work effectively.
