Please consider applying for the position below.<br><br><strong>About The Role<br><br></strong>The overall purpose of the position is to provide oversight to all financial management and reporting for Kenya Country Office. The Finance Manager is responsible for financial reporting, budgeting and compliance management for all Programs in the Country. The Finance Manager works in close collaboration with Regional Corporate Services Director in the Region and program and finance staff in the country and Head Office.<br><br><strong>Responsibilities<br><br></strong><ul><li>Provide guidance and serve as a resource person to country program and finance staff for the NetSuite ERP (NICOR)</li><li>Review and finalize contracts and supporting documentation in the Contract Lifecycle Management system (CLM)</li><li>Prepare quarterly and annual forecasting/financial management reports on program spending</li><li>Ensure compliance with established NI policies for the release and approval for signature of legal documents</li><li>Ensure timely and accurate updates of the Donor Database (DDB) with approved project budgets. </li><li>Prepare and share monthly budget variance reports with the Country Director and project staff to support program implementation within approved budgets. </li><li>Verify that contract budgets and related expenses comply with the approved budget allocations. </li><li>Coordinate and consolidate the Country Office's annual program budget and support the Regional Corporate Services Director in finalizing budget submissions. </li><li>Review and authorize staff travel authorizations (TAs) and expense reports (ERs) in line with the Delegation of Authority</li><li> Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting by reviewing financial transactions, reconciliations, analyses, and reports before submission to the Regional Office. </li><li>Lead periodic financial closures, including preparation of reports and reconciliations</li><li>Extract, review, and analyze reports from NICOR to support financial management. </li><li>Oversee office administration, including management of supplies, equipment, and administrative requests<br><br></li></ul><strong>Requirements<br><br></strong><ul><li>Bachelor's degree in Commerce with at least eight years of working experience in the development sector. </li><li>ACCA or CPA Professional qualification </li><li>5 years experience working in a finance manager capacity </li><li>5 years experience working in program management environment including budget and grant management. </li><li>Working experience on managing Global Affairs of Canada grants, FCDO, USAID, BMGF is highly preferred. </li><li>Experience working with databases, an asset </li><li>Experience working with the NetSuite ERP </li><li>Experience in a national or international non-profit entity is preferred</li><li>Ability to plan and organize work to meet deadlines </li><li>Ability to work under pressure </li><li>Strong numerical skills </li><li>Excellent interpersonal skills </li><li>Excellent communication skills, both orally and written </li><li>Leadership skills and experience </li><li>Employee management skills<br><br></li></ul><strong>Benefits<br><br></strong>A competitive market pay, health benefits, pension plan, flexible work hours, vacation, support for learning and development opportunities and health and wellness.
