Do you bring <strong>5+ years’ experience</strong> in a similar role, with a proven ability to manage international B2B clients and deliver accurate, insightful financial reporting? If so, we want you on our team at <strong>tma</strong>.</p><p><br></p><p>In this role, you will take ownership of financial operations for a portfolio of international clients, primarily in the tech and manufacturing sectors. You will need strong leadership, excellent communication skills, and hands-on experience in managing finance teams and client relationships across borders.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Please note</strong>: <strong>5+ years’ experience as a Financial Controller in the tech and/or manufacturing sectors is an absolute requirement for this role.</strong></p><p><br></p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p><p><strong>Client Management</strong></p><p>-Serve as the primary contact for all client finance and accounting matters.</p><p>-Build and maintain strong relationships with client executives and key stakeholders.</p><p>-Collaborate across platforms (Slack, Teams, Skype) with a 2-hour response time during business hours.</p><p>-Partner with client department heads to deliver strategic, data-driven financial insights.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Team Leadership & Management</strong></p><p>-Lead and oversee finance teams both in the U.S. and internationally.</p><p>-Delegate tasks effectively and manage resources efficiently.</p><p>-Mentor and guide team members to promote professional growth.</p><p>-Work closely with FP&A teams to ensure accuracy of historical data and reporting insights.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Accounting & Financial Reporting</strong></p><p>-Lead end-to-end financial reporting processes, including ownership of financial statements, schedules, and reconciliations.</p><p>-Enhance and maintain robust internal controls and accounting practices.</p><p>-Drive improvements in systems to boost accuracy, consistency, and scalability.</p><p>-Recommend and implement financial software and systems upgrades where necessary.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Strategic Financial Oversight</strong></p><p>-Understand and interpret client KPIs and business drivers.</p><p>-Offer proactive solutions to both client and internal financial challenges.</p><p>-Maintain a deep understanding of each client’s reporting, compliance, and audit requirements.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Requirements</strong></p><p><strong>Minimum 5 years’ experience as a Financial Controller</strong> in the <strong>tech and/or manufacturing industries (MANDATORY)</strong>.</p><p>-Proven international B2B experience, managing client relationships at executive level.</p><p>-Expertise in onboarding clients and maintaining long-term partnerships.</p><p>-In-depth knowledge of ASC 606, financial reporting standards, and ERP systems (QuickBooks, NetSuite, SAP, Excel).</p><p>-Demonstrated success managing remote and cross-functional finance teams.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Nice to Have</strong></p><p>-CPG experience: Inventory flow, DTC/wholesale, sales tax, COGS vs. Opex.</p><p>-Tech/SaaS knowledge: Revenue waterfalls, deferred revenue, cost capitalization.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Working Hours</strong></p><p>-This is a night shift role aligned to USA business hours.</p><p>-Working hours: <strong>4:00 PM – 2:00 AM SAST</strong></p><p>-The role is <strong>fully office-based</strong> at our offices in Sandton, Durban, Cape Town, or Kenya.</p><p><br></p><p>At <strong>tma</strong>, we are more than just a finance team—we are partners in growth, helping our clients scale through improved operations, sound financial insights, and long-term relationships.
