Bartender/Barista

We are looking for a dynamic, results-driven Bartender/Barista who will primarily be responsible for the smooth operation of the bar and Coffee shop which include assisting in the preparation and serving of beverages, maintaining cleanliness and organization in the bar area, and providing excellent customer service to patrons with the highest possible professional standards with Tamarind Management Limited policies, procedures and standards established to ensure maximum customer satisfaction. Key Responsibilities: Assist in preparing and mixing drinks according to recipes and customer preferences. This includes pouring and measuring ingredients accurately. To have a thorough understanding and knowledge of all food and beverage items in the menu and the ability to recommend Food & Beverage combinations and up-sell alternatives. Up-sell or promote all specials advertised in the outlet as well promoting slow moving items. Maintaining Expresso machines, grinder, coffee machine and other equipment by cleaning, troubleshooting and scheduling repairs. Preparing and serving beverages such as coffee, espresso-based drinks , tea and other speciality drinks. Ensure timely service and attend to any customer inquiries or concerns promptly. Interact with customers in a friendly and professional manner, taking drink orders, and providing recommendations when necessary. To handle guest enquiries in a courteous and efficient manner and report guest complaints or problems to supervisors if no immediate solution can be found and assure follow up with guests. Assist in monitoring beverage inventory levels and informing senior staff when supplies need to be replenished. Adhere to all relevant health and safety regulations and company policies, including responsible alcohol service practices. Collaborate with other bar staff and servers to ensure efficient operations during peak hours. Take opportunities to learn and improve your skills under the guidance of experienced bartenders. Qualifications and Skills A Diploma/Certificate in food and beverage service or related field. Minimum 2 years’ experience as a bartender/ Barista Possess excellent knowledge of and serving drinks with knowledge of alcoholic & non-alcoholic beverages, in-mixing, garnishing and food pairings Should have a wide scope of beverage knowledge and be able to mix and match ingredients in order to create classic and innovative drinks in accordance with customers’ needs and expectations.
