Senior Civil Engineer - Structures - Remote

Our client is seeking a highly experienced Senior Civil Engineer with a specialization in structural engineering to join their fully remote, international team. This role is instrumental in the design, analysis, and oversight of significant construction projects. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of structural mechanics, building codes, and advanced engineering software, ensuring the integrity and safety of our built environment. You will be responsible for leading the structural engineering aspects of diverse projects, from initial concept through to construction completion.

Key Responsibilities: Perform comprehensive structural analysis and design for a variety of structures, including high-rise buildings, bridges, industrial facilities, and infrastructure projects, utilizing advanced software (e.g., ETABS, SAP2000, Revit Structure). Ensure all designs strictly adhere to relevant local and international building codes, standards, and regulations. Produce detailed structural drawings, calculation reports, and technical specifications required for construction documentation. Review contractor submittals, shop drawings, and respond to site queries during the construction phase to resolve any structural issues promptly. Collaborate effectively with architects, project managers, other engineering disciplines, and construction teams in a virtual setting. Conduct site visits and structural inspections as necessary, potentially involving travel to project locations. Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior civil and structural engineers, promoting a culture of learning and excellence. Research and propose innovative structural solutions and materials to enhance project efficiency, sustainability, and cost-effectiveness. Manage the structural engineering workload for multiple projects, ensuring on-time delivery and budget adherence. Prepare comprehensive technical reports and present engineering solutions and findings to clients and stakeholders.
