We are seeking two dedicated Remote Nurses to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in clinical and nonclinical tasks related to patient documentation, chart preparation, and various administrative duties. This role requires meticulous attention to detail and the ability to work independently in a remote setting.

Clinical Responsibilities:

New Patient Documentation/Chart Prep (OSA) Obstructive sleep apnea

  • Complete HPI using a template
  • Document summary of results from previous sleep study reports
  • Obtain serial and device numbers for patients already on PAP therapy for wireless access/compliance downloads
  • Ensure all relevant providers are included in the chart (referring, PCP, psych, etc.)
  • Add pharmacy information
  • Provide possible OSA and HST/PSG education
  • Prepare A&P with existing Athena shortcuts
  • Set up sleep study orders
  • Prepare outgoing letters

Return Visit Documentation/Chart Prep (OSA)

  • Copy and paste previous notes
  • Document the most recent HST/PSG results
  • Summarize PAP settings and compliance download
  • Document the Chief Complaint for the visit
  • Summarize current sleep schedule/average TST
  • Update PMH
  • Update current medication list
  • Set up RTO
  • Ensure providers and pharmacy information is up to date
  • Prepare referral letters
  • Set up DME/OAT orders

Patient Cases

  • Manage and document patient cases

Refills

  • Document the last fill date and date of the last office visit for controlled prescriptions

Nonclinical Responsibilities:

Administrative Tasks

  • Prepare PA appeal letters, DOT/FAA compliance letters, and complete other forms
  • Review and sort through our clinical inbox and summarize sleep study results from outside facilities
  • Prior authorization for PSG’s
  • Prior authorization for medication
  • Medication appeals
  • HST interpretation preparation

Requirements:

  • Nurse Professional or similar background
  • Experience with patient documentation and chart preparation
  • Familiarity with PAP therapy and sleep study protocols
  • Proficiency with Athena EMR system
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
