About the Role

The Waiter / Waitress is responsible for delivering outstanding food and beverage service to  guests in a professional, efficient, and courteous manner. This role involves ensuring guest  satisfaction, maintaining cleanliness, managing orders, and adhering to brand service  standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of food and beverage  service, excellent communication skills, and a passion for hospitality.  KEY RESPONSIBILITIES  Guest Service & Experience 
  • Greet and welcome guests in a warm and friendly manner. 
  • Take accurate food and beverage orders and ensure timely service. 
  • Provide detailed explanations of menu items, including ingredients and pairing  recommendations. 
  • Ensure all tables receive their orders promptly and according to brand service timing. 
  • Maintain a positive guest experience by responding to inquiries and resolving issues  efficiently. 
  • Offer recommendations and suggestive selling techniques to enhance the dining  experience. 
Operational Responsibilities 
  • Set up and maintain assigned sections, ensuring tables are clean and properly  arranged. 
  • Follow cash handling procedures and ensure accuracy in billing. 
  • Assist in setting up and breaking down event setups as required. 
  • Ensure mise-en-place is well stocked at all stations. 
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations and service areas.
  • Comply with security, fire regulations, and all health and safety legislation.
  • Be environmentally aware and support sustainability initiatives. 
Team Collaboration & Compliance 
  • Work closely with the kitchen and bar teams to ensure seamless service.
  • Attend and actively participate in team briefings and training sessions.
  • Follow brand standards and operational guidelines to ensure consistency.
  • Maintain good working relationships with colleagues across departments.
  • Assist other departments when necessary to ensure smooth operations. 
KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS (KPIs)  Guest Satisfaction & Service Excellence 
  • Achieve a guest satisfaction rating of 95% or higher based on service experience.
  • Ensure zero unresolved guest complaints on a monthly basis. 
  • Maintain 100% compliance with brand service standards. 
Sales & Revenue Growth 
  • Increase average spend per guest through effective suggestive selling.
  • Achieve upselling targets as set by the restaurant management. 
  • Ensure all guest feedback is documented and reported for continuous improvement.
Operational Efficiency 
  • Ensure 100% accuracy in order taking and billing processes. 
  • Maintain proper stock levels and replenishments at service stations. 
  • Follow proper hygiene and food handling practices at all times.
